Day 1 hitting the road

Well we are off! After both of us came home from work we feverishly packed the remaining items that we wanted to bring with us. After checking everything off of Leah’s list we were ready to go.

Before leaving I asked “2 or 2a?” to which Leah replied “2a”. We decided to head down highway 2 until Leduc as last time we traveled down 814 it was ripped up to Rollyview road and Leah hated it. Would you know it 625 was ripped up almost to Nisku.

We had a nice relaxing ride down to Lacombe and checked into our motel. The plan for today was to have a bite to eat and more importantly some craft beers at Cilantro and Chive.

We were kinda late for our reservation at Cilantro and Chive but that did not matter. After getting seated on the patio we ordered up some beer and decided on our meals. Man this place has a fantastic beer menu, and the food is equally impressive. Leah had this crazy huge burger and I had Chicken and Waffles. Sooo good.

Anyway the plan is now to hit Medicine Hat Tomorrow and a few more breweries before we hit the US.
