The Road less traveled

We woke up pretty early and had a quick shower, said our goodbyes to Peter, and left Ingolstadt to make our way to Salzburg. Instead of taking the most direct route that would push us back into Munich we decided to take the road less traveled heading with our end location being Traunstein.

The drive took us through some very scenic farm land and rolling hills around the east side of the country. I have to say everything that we have been seeing here is so lush and green, it just amazes me.

We quickly found our way to to Traunstein and found our AirB&B a great little cottage outside of town in the basement of the house. It was a super cute suite with everything we could need. Everything except beer.

With the lack of beer in our room we decided to head into Traunstein and see what we could find. We quickly found to Brauerei Ausschank Schnitzlbaumer. Again I would not have to say it but this place was huge and had some neat artifacts in the brewery including this weird barrel filling thing. Leah and I both had a flank steak and flight of beer and decided to explore the town some more.

After a little bit of wondering we both decided that more beer was in order, so off to yet another Hofbrauhaus house. We both had a beer and picked up a few to go to bring back to the room and chill out. Overall it was a great relaxing day.
