The day started with a great breakfast prepared by our wonderful cooks Carmen and Cindy. It was quite filling so we sat around and had a few coffees and shot the shit. Leah then got excited around 10 or 11 that our part had been delivered to Nelson Brewing so we decided to make our way into town and pick it up.
The ride into town was quite enjoyable as we were on the road early by Nelson standards so there was very little traffic and anyone that has taken a scoot around the north of the lake knows its a lovely ride.
We hit Nelson Brewing and after the young girl pouring beer was done with the customers ahead of us, proceeded to confuse her by asking for a part that was delivered just prior. After explaining ourselves where she looked in the back and sure enough found what we came for. Of course we had to stay for a few pints.
Before we left I spoke to Cindy and said we would pick up some salad, pitas, souvlaki, and tzatziki in town. So we hit the grocery store and picked up the food. We also needed to fill up the cooler for the trip home so onto the liquor store. Leah had an idea to buy Cindy a bottle of Tequila as she was so instrumental in the food so of course I agreed and we picked her up a bottle.
Getting back to camp we gave Cindy the bottle as a thank you for everything over the time there and she gave us both a great big hug. Next step was to put the new coil on Leahs bike, something that maybe I should not have announced as that just seemed to be an invite for the entire peanut gallery to watch me change it out. I think it was Sheldon that said I should check something before tightening the gas tank bolt up after placing the coil and sure enough the ignition tumbler was loose requiring me to disassemble again. Lesson taken, listen to your elders. Leah’s bike fired up without issue and she drove it to the campsite for the first time since it broke down outside Christina Lake.

We had a final great night partying at Toad Rock, I know that I’ve said this before but those that know, know that this is one of the best places in the Kootenay’s for a biker to stop, stay and meet like minded people. I suggest to any rider be it a Harley, Indian, Honda or any two wheeled transportation, you need to stop and stay here.
